Description
Offers a holistic and culturally inclusive alternative educational program for adults, providing:
  • Individual and independent learning¬†based on individualized, independent learning courses that students can complete at their own pace
  • One on one tutoring
  • Small and large group instruction
Wakendaasijig Program

Provides alternative learning environment for students considered to be at risk of not completing high school and have achieved few credits

Eligibility
Indigenous adults 18 years of age and older who wish to work towards a secondary school diploma

Wakendaasijig Program: Indigenous students 16-18 years of age who are considered at risk for completing secondary school and have completed few credits
Application Process
  • Registration for school required
  • Student must attend school 20 hours per week and
  • Complete a minimum of two lessons per week and
  • Participate in weekly student meetings, complete one journal per month and
  • Participate in school activities and fundraising
Wakendaasijig ProgramStudents may be considered after appropriate interventions have been attempted at their own school
