- Description
- Provides programs and services to address the needs of Aboriginal people who are either elderly or those with chronic illness and/or any form of disability
Indigenous Support- Advocates on a client's behalf to various agencies such as family physicians, landlords, Ontario Works, Ontario Disability Support Program, Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security
- Provides a weekly meal and activity
- Provides transportation for attendees
- Arranges weekly visits from volunteers in an individual's home, Villa Minto, the hospital or at the Friendship Centre
- Provides transportation to various medical appointments
- Eligibility
- Indigenous individuals who are Elders/Seniors, mentally or physically challenged, or chronically or terminally ill who are living off-reserve
