Description
  • Provides culturally sensitive maternity care, including prenatal, labour, birth and postnatal
  • Provides clients with all the necessary information regarding their care so that informed decisions can be made
  • Provides skilled physical and emotional support during labour
  • Provides clinical monitoring after birth, in addition to continued emotional support, information and guidance
  • Offers a choice of birthplace, either in the home or at the hospital
  • Works with other health professionals to share care of clients if concerns arise during pregnancy, labour, birth or postpartum
  • Offers postnatal visits to examine breastfeeding, the baby's weight, the mother's physical and emotional well being and to discuss family planning and the first year of feeding
  • Offers resources in the office, including books, pamphlets and handouts

For the purposes of infection control, children's toys have been removed from the waiting room. Please feel free to bring along your child's own toys or books from home to be used during your prenatal visits.
