Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities 

Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements provided by Anishinabek Police Service (APS)-Nobel Detachment
  • Located on an island, the community's only access to mainland and nearest urban centre of Parry Sound is via the Wasauksing Swing Bridge and Rose Point Rd
  • Serviced by air through the Parry Sound Airport, approx 9 km E of community on the mainland
  • Operates a local community radio station Rez 91.3
  • Offers several small businesses including Islands Gas and Variety and Sugar Bush maple syrup sales
  • Owns and operates Wasauksing Marina and Campground at W end of island
  • Offers the Wasauksing First Nation United Church
  • Hosts an annual Traditional Pow Wow in August at the Wasauksing Traditional Grounds in Depot Harbour
  • Provides a community daycare centre called Migizoons Child Care Centre
  • Administers education services and Wasauksing Kinomaugewgamik School for students from JK-Grade 8 under an Education Committee
  • Provides an Employment and Training Centre
  • Offers health care and programs including a Good Food Box program at the Health Station
  • Offers a Public Library located in the lower level of the Learning Centre/Community Complex
  • Operates a Volunteer Fire Department
