Community Health Services
  • Community Health Services are accessible or through funding mechanisms administered through the Thunder Bay Zone Office
  • Prevention programs are available in First Nation communities and are intended to improve the health and well being of First Nation peoples

Prevention programs are available on the following topics:
  • Communicable disease control
  • Maternal and child health care programs
  • Chronic disease monitoring
  • Care of the elderly
  • School health programs

Non-Insured Health Benefits
  • Available to all registered First Nation people who require extended health benefits

Benefits include:
  • Medical transportation for eligible services including:
  • Medical equipment, vision, dental and medications

Treatment Program
  • Available for eligible individuals that do not have access to a treatment centre
