Provides community health services and assistance with non-insured health benefits to eligible First Nation and Inuit people
Community Health Services
Prevention programs intended to improve the health and well being of First Nation peoples are available on the following topics:
  • Communicable disease control
  • Maternal and child health care programs
  • Chronic disease monitoring
  • Care of the elderly
  • School health programs
  • Environmental health
Non-Insured Health Benefits
Provides assistance with accessing and making arrangements for extended health benefits, including:
  • Dental care
  • Medical transportation
  • Medical equipment
  • Medications
  • Mental health counselling
  • Short-term crisis intervention
  • Vision care
Hours of Operation
Mon-Fri 8 am-4:15 pm
Eligibility
Must be a registered Inuit and/or First Nation individual and reside in one of the communities served by the Sudbury Health Centre or within the catchment area
Application Process
  • Health Centre operates on a walk-in basis
  • Most services are accessed on-reserve through visiting health professionals
  • Services may vary in each community; call Health Centre to determine available services
