Crisis Centre North Bay
Attendance Centre

  • Provides supervised, structured, youth centered programming during the day, evenings and/or weekends
  • Provides an individualized approach addressing the underlying needs and problems
  • Offers a flexible program schedule to prevent interference with employment or educational responsibilities
  • Focuses on programming that promotes family involvement, community support, positive attitudes and behaviour, and the development of appropriate social skills

At the request of local schools, provides 8-session group programming to address topics identified by staff and students, and may include (but is not limited to) the following:
  • Anger management
  • Cyber-bullying
  • Independent living skills
  • Literacy skills
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Relationship skills with family/friends
  • Social skills training
  • Substance abuse
Targeting minimum to moderate risk youth who are in conflict with the law

Age Requirements: Ages: 12 year(s) - 17 year(s);
Application Process
Referrals accepted:
  • As a result of a Probation Order to attend a non-residential program
  • By a Probation Officer who believes that the youth fits the Attendance Centre client profile and would benefit from a period of intensive programming to address individual needs
  • EJSM referrals
