Description
Delivers medical transportation services and assistance in making medical appointment arrangements for community members
  • Provides transportation to medical appointments within the community
  • Provides transportation from/to Batchewana First Nation Reserves to medical appointments (doctor, dentist, optometrist, specialist) in Sault Ste Marie and other communities
  • Provides assistance with making arrangements for any medical appointments out of town such as booking appointments, hotels, and completing applications for mileage compensation

Members of Batchewana First Nation who require medical transportation assistance due to age or disability
Application Process
  • Requires written proof of medical appointment
  • Requires at least one week advance booking, prefers two weeks notice; exceptions made for emergencies
  • Advance cancellation recommended
