- Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:- Child and Family services provided by Nog-Da-Win-Da-Min Family & Community Services; head office in Sault Ste Marie
- Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Batchewana First Nation Police Service, Rankin Reserve, Sault Ste Marie
- Facilities operated by the First Nation include the Administration/Cultural Centre, Health Centre, Family Crisis Shelter, Elders' Complex, Day Care Centre, Arena, Youth/Teen Centre, Police Station, Gas Bar, Confectionary Store and the Batchewana Learning Centre
- Offers business opportunities in building and equipment rentals, arena operations, community operations and Bingo Hall
- Coordinates renewable energy initiatives and sustainable agricultural initiatives
- Provides education services under the Education Department for all community students including administration of Batchewana Learning Centre
- Operates a Family Crisis Shelter and a Volunteer Fire Department
- Provides a Walk-in Clinic, health care and health programs at the Batchewana Health Centre
- Offers childcare at Rankin Day Care Centre
- Operates a Youth/Teen Centre for after-school and summer activities for community youth
