Youth Justice Programs


Description
Provides counselling for youth who are in conflict with the law

Community Support Team
  • Provides intensive support and clinical intervention services to high-risk young offenders
  • Helps youth reduce conflict with the law
  • Decreases the probability of re-offending
  • Facilitates reintegration from custody and detention back into the community
Services offered include:
  • Individual, family and group-based counselling and skills training
  • Psychological and/or psychiatric assessment and consultation
  • Community and professional consultation
  • Referrals to other relevant community services
  • Evidence-based treatment programs including services for youth who have been convicted of sexual offending and/or arson
Eligibility
Youth aged 12-17 years of age who are in conflict with the law and have been assessed by probation officers as being either medium or high risk
