- Description
- Provides short-term counselling services to children, youth and their families following a personal or family crisis
- Provides assessment of levels of daily functioning (behavioural, emotional and psychological)
- Develops and/or provides the necessary measures/plans to ensure the safety of the client, family and community
- Develops and implements short-term treatment plans, in partnership with the client and family
- Provides referrals to additional services, when appropriate
- Eligibility
- Children and youth 6-17 years of age who are experiencing emotional, behavioural or psychological difficulties following a personal or family crisis and have been seen by Crisis Intervention Services at the Sault Area Hospital or a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Unit
