Algoma Family Services
0-6 Mental Health Services

  • Provides early identification, intervention and treatment services for young children
  • Offers assessment and advocacy
  • Offers individual, family or group counselling
  • Educates the family about supports and services that are available in the community
  • Collaborates with community partners to providing a continuum of supports, education, consultation, and services designed to meet the needs of families

Offers the following in-school programs:
Al's Pals: Kids Making Healthy Choices
  • Offers a school-based prevention program that develops young children's social-emotional skills, self-control, problem-solving abilities, and healthy decision-making

Building Bridges
  • Assists children in adjusting to the school setting
  • Assists children to develop skills that produce appropriate social behaviours

Taming Sneaky Fears
  • Offers a therapeutic group for children who struggle with symptoms of anxiety and their parents
Hours of Operation
Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Children demonstrating signs of early emotional or behavioural difficulties
