Description
Operates a volunteer program to provide toys and grocery hampers for individuals and families at Christmas time

Grocery Hampers
  • Provides groceries to prepare a full course Christmas dinner, including a ham or turkey
  • Accepts cash donations year-round for purchase of groceries; provides receipts upon request
  • Delivers hampers to homes on the Saturday morning before Christmas
  • Provides applications for individuals and families wishing to receive hamper
Gift and Toy Program
  • Provides new, gift wrapped toys and knitted items such as toques and mittens to children
  • Delivers toys to homes along with hampers
  • Committee prefers toys to be unwrapped

Drop off unwrapped new gifts/toys at Scotia Bank

  • Individuals, couples, seniors or families in need
  • Eligibility is determined by committee review of applications
Application Process
Applications can be picked up at:
  • Red Lake Municipal Office at 2 Fifth St in Balmertown
  • Red Lake Indian Friendship Centre at 1 Legion Rd
  • Ontario Works at 232 Howey St
