Description
  • Provides short term relief and support services to primary caregivers of individuals with an intellectual and/or developmental disability
  • Respite can be provided for a few hours, by the day, on weekends, or for a week or several weeks
  • Provides assistance to the primary caregiver in recruiting, training and selecting reliable care providers to assume responsibility for their child/adult and/or children
Respite can be provided:
  • In the family home
  • In another home setting, such as the worker's home
  • In a community location
  • In an apartment operated by Community Living
