Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society

  • Fosters surrendered, abandoned and stray animals in local foster homes
  • Vaccinates, spays, neuters and adopts out abandoned and stray animals
  • Provides financial assistance to low income individuals and seniors for pet food when available
  • Provides public education on pet welfare, pet care, spaying and neutering
  • Accepts donations of animal food and supplies
Note: Does not have a facility to shelter animals; run by volunteers who fundraise to cover the expenses associated with the care of the animals and the programs offered to the community
