Child Care Fee Subsidy

Manages the provision of children services through provincial funding and partners with several non-profit and for-profit service providers

Subsidized Child Care
  • Provides financial assistance towards the cost of licensed child care or licensed private home child care services for parents or legal guardians

Ontario Works Child Care
  • Provides funding if available for Ontario Works recipients who are taking part in approved activities, to help pay for child care expenses in either Licensed Child Care Facilities or with Informal Care Providers
Subsidized Child Care
  • Families with children 13 years of age and younger, or up to 18 years of age if the child has special needs
  • The child is in a licensed child care program, OR
  • The child is school-aged and enrolled in an approved recreation program, OR
  • The child is in a before and after school program in a school that offers full-day kindergarten
Ontario Works Child Care
  • Must be receiving Ontario Works and employed
Application Process
Individuals are to apply by contacting the office
Ontario Works Child Care
  • Individuals must apply through their Ontario Works case worker
Service - based on income ; Fee assistance available for child care ; assistance is provided by District of Nipissing Social Services Administration Board.
