Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)
  • Provides access to specialized medical care using videoconferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment
  • Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities
  • Reduces the need to travel to receive care
  • Participates in Thunder Bay’s Regional Critical Care Response Program (RCCR) as a pilot site with other First Nation communities which enables patients to now be triaged and cared for by critical care doctors and other highly-skilled staff at Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre’s Intensive Care Unit via videoconferencing equipment prior to air transfer via Orng
