Description
Offers support services and opportunities to community members to enhance quality of life by planning, developing, implementing and evaluating healthy lifestyle activities for the community as a whole
  • Works to raise awareness on issues such as child abuse prevention, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder and addictions issues
  • Coordinates a family swim at the Elliott Lake Municipal Pool followed by a spaghetti supper
  • Provides monetary donations to the breakfast programs in the 3 schools in Blind River attended by Mississauga First Nation students
  • Participates annually in the Blind River and Area Christmas food basket drive

Coordinates regular activities including:
  • Community breakfasts 4 times per year
  • Community clean-up days
  • Cooking on a budget classes
  • Tree planting ceremonies
