Homeless Shelter

  • Operates a homeless and emergency shelter
  • Provides overnight accommodation for a maximum of twenty people
  • Offers an evening meal, lunch and breakfast to residents of the shelter
  • Offers referrals to various agencies in the community of Red Lake
  • Offers housing supports, outreach programs, and in-house programming
Hours of Operation
Mon-Sun 24 hours
  • Open to homeless individuals or those in emergency situations requiring a bed, warm meal, shower and laundry facilities for the night
  • Will accommodate individuals from surrounding First Nation communities in the Red Lake area

Ages: 16 year(s) and up
Application Process
  • Call Shelter or drop-in
  • Requests a minimal fee per night after three nights
Service - Shelter requests $15 per night after three nights ; Assistance for Shelter fee may be available from Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) or Kenora District Services Board (KDSB)
