Description
  • Provides information on preventative dental health practices
  • Conducts yearly surveys of school children's dental requirements to enhance existing programs and to determine gaps
  • Offers a dental screening program in schools
Provides the following preventative services:
  • Cleaning teeth
  • Fluoride
  • Fluoride varnish
  • Sealants
Healthy Smiles Ontario
  • Provides a government-funded dental program for children and youth from low-income households
  • Covers the cost of regular visits to a licensed dental care provider, such as a dentist or dental hygienist
  • Covers a full range of preventive dental services including check-ups, cleaning, fillings, x-rays, scaling and more
