Children's Mental Health Program

Provides clinical support and treatment services for children's mental health issues and behavioral, emotional and social difficulties
Offers specialized programming in the following areas:
  • Bullying
  • Child development
  • Domestic violence intervention
  • Personal safety
  • Self-esteem
  • Sexual abuse prevention
  • Suicide prevention and intervention
Methods of treatment can include:
  • Behaviour management
  • Counselling (individual and group)
  • Grief recovery programs
  • Play therapy
  • Positive parenting
Hours of Operation
Office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-5 pmAfter Hours Mon-Fri 5 pm-8 am, Weekends and holidays 24 hours
Must be a member of any of the 10 First Nations communities in the Rainy Lake Tribal Region either on/off-reserve
Psychological services can be accessed by:
  • Children 18 years of age and younger in care and their families
  • Children and families receiving child welfare services
  • Children and careworkers at Giizhikaandag Healing Centre
  • Community Care teams
