Residential Services

Churchill Group Home
  • 8 bed co-ed home, located in a residential neighborhood
  • Lengths of stay vary, average stay is one year
  • Offers therapeutic services to individuals who are experiencing social and emotional difficulties
  • Focuses on supporting young people in overcoming difficulties through development of life, social and independence skills, and relationship-building

SPRING Program
  • Serves as a therapeutic foster care program
  • Offers interventions which include assessment, group therapy, behavioural and academic programming
  • Offers an academic day treatment program (one and one half teaching staff and four child and youth workers)
  • Temporary Care Agreement: The child is placed in the care of the Children's Aid Society on a voluntary basis by the caregiver
  • Society Wardship: The child is court ordered into the temporary care of the Children's Aid Society
  • Crown Wardship: The child is made a permanent ward of the Children's Aid Society and could be placed for adoption

  • Adolescents experiencing difficulties and whose needs cannot be adequately met by the regular foster care system, or within their family home
SPRING Program
  • Children and youth in the Society's care who have difficulties in regular foster placements and mainstream schools
