Dryden Area Family Health Team
Heart Health Program

Provides heart health, stroke prevention and risk factor services and information
  • Offers blood pressure checks through Nursing Station drop-in clinics
  • Offers screening clinic once per month at Shoppers Drug Mart
  • Provides high blood pressure (hypertension) education about the risks, and strategies for lowering your blood pressure
Provides education and information for:
  • Self-monitoring of blood pressure and management through diet, exercise, stress reduction and smoking cessation
  • Cholesterol management
  • Congestive heart failure (CHF)
  • Stroke prevention
Cardiac Education Program
  • Offers post event cardiac education
  • Includes individual assessment, education and support
  • Develops treatment/education goals for each person and reviews recent event, heart health, blood pressure management and medication use
  • Offers nutrition and healthy lifestyle education with Registered Dietitian
  • Conducts weekly group educational sessions
Shopper's Drug Mart is located at 25 Duke St
Hours of Operation
Office: Mon-Fri 8 am-4 pm
Nursing Station Drop-in: Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fri 8:30 am-12 noon
Screening Clinic (Shoppers Drug Mart): last Thu of month 9 am-11 am
Cardiac Educational sessions: Thu 10 am
