Seniors' Transportation Program

  • Offers door to door transportation
  • Provides rural and local residents transportation for medical or health related appointments in/out of town
  • Acts as a third party designate for travel grants so local individuals can sign the travel grant over to cover some or all of the cost for out of town and/or overnight trips

Wheelchair Passengers
  • Accommodates folding wheelchairs for individuals able to get in and out without assistance
  • Accommodates wheelchair bound passengers with a companion

Hours of Operation
Office: Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
  • Must not be able to access the public transportation services (ie too far to walk/bus stairs too difficult)
  • Must not be able to drive themselves
  • Must not live in a long term care facility
  • Must be able to get in and out of the vehicle with minimal assistance

Wheelchair Passengers
  • Wheelchair bound passengers must be accompanied by companion and he/she is required to provide all assistance
  • Companions assisting passenger receive transportation for free but all other charges, including accommodations, are at their own expense

Application Process
Payments are invoiced and sent to service users at end of each month
Wheelchair Passengers
  • All registered passengers are required to make arrangements a minimum of 3 days prior for local trips and a minimum of 7 days prior for out of town trips
  • Non- registered passengers require extra time for the required documentation to be completed
