- Description
- Provides technical and professional advisory services and training to enhance the overall management skills and opportunities of the Independent First Nations Alliance Area First Nations
- Promotes and supports sustainable land and resource development that will build each community's economic strength
- Assists in identifying and securing funding opportunities and other resources for community economic development
- Advises and assists in the creation of employment opportunities for community members
- Works with community economic development officers to develop factors such as diversified employment, skilled workforce, competitiveness, investment, research and industry
- On-going discussions/proposals for First Nation owned transmission company and lines into the northern communities to replace diesel generation
- Mapping of traditional land-use pursuits
- New opportunities in eco-tourism
- Eligibility
- Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the Independent First Nations Alliance (IFNA)
