First Nation School

Operates a public on-reserve school for elementary and junior high school students
  • Offers a full curriculum for students from Junior Kindergarten (JK) to Grade 8; approved and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education
  • Teaches Native Cree language as a subject course
  • Offers cultural and traditional events and outings
  • Coordinates a breakfast program for all students
  • New school houses seven classrooms accommodating 24 students in each and is equipped with a science lab, computer lab, library, special education classroom, cafeteria, gymnasium, soccer field, baseball field and an outdoor hockey rink
  • Provides on-reserve bus transportation

Special Education
  • Provides special education assistance for students with learning difficulties
  • Strives for maximum amount of integration with regular programs
