- Description
- Provides recreation programs and social events for community members from school aged children to elders
Coordinates and supervises a variety of programs including:- Adult volleyball nights
- After-school activities for youth called Latchkey Program
- Cultural crafts
- Game nights
- Group fitness classes such as yoga and zumba
- Sports activities such as baseball, basketball, floor hockey
- Summer day camps
- Youth leadership workshops
- Memberships for gym use which entitles patrons 24 hour use of gym with a key fob
- Gym use for private events
- Structured and unstructured activities at the Centre during Professional Development (PD) days at school
- Eligibility
- Must be a member or affiliate/employee of Couchiching First Nation
- Application Process
- Does not require recreation centre membership to use during regular hours
- Members younger than 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- Members 55 years of age and older are free
- Private booking arrangements for gym must be made at least 2 weeks prior to required time; prompt cancellation notice is appreciated
