Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation
Community Garden

  • Provides a garden that community members plant, tend and harvest together for a fresh food supply
  • Growing season runs from May to September; dependent upon weather
  • All garden plots coordinated through volunteer efforts and consist of 10 raised beds and two flower beds
  • Provides a large storage barn and gardening equipment and supplies such as hand tools, garden hoses, wheel barrows, watering cans, and a lawn mower
  • Hosts a Community Garden Open House with displays and information about nutrition and gardening

  • Call Health Centre to reserve plot; operates on a first-come basis
  • Requires individuals to supply own seeds and/or plants for individual plots
