Daycare Centre

Operates a licensed daycare centre
  • Offers a variety of activities to enhance the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and social development of children
  • Provides a variety of school readiness programs
  • Provides breakfast, 2 snacks and a hot lunch daily
  • Offers a Toy Library with various educational and developmental toys and resources
  • Incorporates Native cultural programs with the daily community based programming
  • Provides bus services for children attending the daycare

Offers full day and part-time programs for:
  • Infants
  • Toddlers
  • Preschoolers/JK
  • School Age
Donations of the following items are always appreciated:
  • Plastic grocery bags (to send home children's art work, clothes, etc)
  • Old high-heel shoes (dress up center)
  • Empty plastic icing containers (paint and glue)
  • Pennies (for the math center)
  • Baby wipes

Daycare Centre: Mon-Fri 7:45 am-4:45 pmToy Library: Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm, Thu 6:30 pm-8:30 pm
Members of M'Chigeeng First Nation
  • Infants: 0-18 months
  • Toddlers: children 18-30 months
  • Preschool & JK: children 21 months - 5 years
  • School age: children 68 months - 12 years

Age Requirements: Ages: 12 year(s) and under;
Application Process
  • Requires completed registration package and
  • Health examination and copy of child's immunization records required for each child every 2 years
  • Late charges for pick-up after 4:45 pm apply; charges are $1 per minute and if time exceeds 30 minutes, Child Protective Services will be contacted
