Description
  • Offers a community drop-in senior's centre
  • Provides regular educational workshops, especially for youth to learn skills such as baking, cooking and handwork
  • Partners with M'Chigeeng Wellness Centre for activities and a monthly combined calendar which lists activities each month at each organization, posted on website
  • Hosts health-related workshops presented by the community's Health Nursing team

Activities and workshops offered include:
  • Annual spring collection of sap from local Sugar Bushes to make maple syrup
  • Baking and cooking items such as bread, scones, headcheese and traditional dishes
  • Pancake days
  • Craft making
  • Sewing and quilting classes
  • Monthly birthday celebrations to honour seniors over 60 years of age
  • Valentines and special occasion teas and bingo
  • Group outings and out-of-town trips
