  • Provides individual and group consultations on the nutritional needs of individual and provides education and information on how to reach their goals
  • Offers nutrition awareness education for community members
  • Develops and delivers nutrition programs as requested by community members and health care providers

Addresses topics that can include:
  • Cancer, gallstones, kidney stones, heart disease and reflux disease
  • Diabetes prevention and management
  • Food budgeting and understanding food labels
  • Healthy cooking, vegetarian cooking, tips and recipes
  • Healthy eating and lifestyle
  • Nutrition for expectant and breastfeeding moms
  • Nutrition review & requirements for infants, children and youth
  • Traditional food, nutritional value and preparation
  • Vitamin and mineral deficiencies
