Description
Provides an assisted living complex for individuals capable of living independently with minimal assistance
  • Offers 4 one-bedroom units and 2 two-bedroom units
  • Offers 2 respite units for short-term relief for caregivers and/or independent individuals
  • Provides personal support services for tenants if required
  • Gives referrals to other health and related services

Offers the following services:
  • Elders programming such as shopping trips, bingo games, craft sessions and weekly mass
  • Transportation to the activities at the Centre if required
  • Home care including light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Personal support services such as personal care and medication reminders
  • Weekly Adult Day program to provide respite for caregivers and crafts, games, activities, outings and lunch for elders
  • Referrals to other services such as Physio/occupational therapy

Centre also houses the Home Care Program (includes Home & Community Care and Long-Term Care programs)

Eligibility
  • Members of M'Chigeeng First Nation able to live independently and requiring minimal assistance at home due to illness, injury or age
  • Respite units are offered on a criteria/needs basis

Application Process
Wellness Centre Apartments
  • Written requests for rental unit must be submitted
  • Upon unit availability applicant must complete a criteria review and nursing assessment
Meals on Wheels
  • Call Community Support Worker to arrange for meals
  • Delivered Mon-Fri around 12 noon
