Description
  • Oversees the operations and maintenance of community infrastructure and related services
  • Maintains a public works garage
  • Assists in building designs (such as Elder's Complex) and construction of community houses
  • Manages the Arena/Complex facilities
  • Works to control dog population through a dog by-law officer and activities such as a community spay and neuter service
  • Participates as a member of the Manitoulin Good Roads Association

Performs a variety of tasks and maintenance operations including:
  • Road maintenance including culverts
  • Brushing of all road sides
  • Landscaping and community beautification
  • Street lighting
  • Maintenance of equipment and operation of the water treatment plant and sewage treatment lagoons
  • Delivery of community water to residents with holding tanks
  • Repairs and upkeep of community buildings and residential homes
  • Upkeep of hiking trails, parks and playgrounds
  • Snow removal

Capital Planning
  • Provides assistance in project management services and community development and planning
