Obishkookaang Elementary School

Operates a public on-reserve school for elementary and junior high school students
  • Offers a full curriculum for students from Junior Kindergarten (JK) to Grade 8; approved and inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education
  • Teaches Native language as a subject course
  • Provides a daily breakfast program for students
  • Offers a school gymnasium, library, computer lab and an industrial kitchen facility
  • Offers cultural and traditional outings such as fishing and trapping
  • Coordinates an after-school program

Special Education
  • Provides special education assistance for students with learning difficulties
  • Strives for maximum amount of integration with regular programs
