Jeremiah McKay Kabayshewekamik Hostel

  • Provides a 100-bed hostel for First Nations individuals requiring accommodations for medical reasons
  • Offers client advocacy and support including accompanying elders to appointments and surgery, checking on clients daily during hospital stay and other duties as they arise

Hostel includes:
  • Accommodations
  • Children's play area
  • Domestic kitchen (if individuals wish to cook own food)
  • Family lounge
  • Ground transportation
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry on site
  • Meals and snacks
  • Recreation and social programming
  • Spiritual support

Special Diets
  • Offers special dietary meals for individuals
  • Can include preparations such as diabetic, partial fasting, vegetarian etc
NOTE: Companion and/or family members accompanying patient/client and staying in same room at hostel are required to each pay $10 per night and are responsible for own food and ground transportation
