  • Provides advocacy services to clients through individual case-work
  • Resolves patient issues according to their instructions through negotiation with hospital staff and administration
  • Assists patients to resolve their own concerns (self-advocate) about patient care, treatment, or rights
  • Advocates only upon patient request
  • Functions as the manager for the NBRHC hospital complaints policy in meeting its requirements for the Excellent Care for All Act (ECFAA)
