Meals on Wheels, Kapuskasing & Area Unit Office

  • Assists individuals to live independently in the community, by providing nourishing meals (hot or frozen) at a reasonable cost
  • Prepares meals according to individuals' diet requirements (includes soup, main plate and dessert)
  • Delivers meals through volunteers who provide regular social contact and check on the health and safety of the client
Hours of Operation
Office Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pmLunch or supper meals delivered as per request
  • Individuals unable to prepare adequate and nourishing meals on a day-to-day basis, nor have anyone else in the household able to do so
  • Must be able to feed themselves and be home to receive meal or identify neighbour who will accept it on their behalf

Age Requirements: Ages: 60 year(s) and up;
Application Process
  • Referrals can be done by anyone (relative, friend, the prospective client, social worker, nurse, doctor)
  • Processed on a priority basis
