Description
  • Assists individuals to live independently in the community, by providing nourishing meals at a reasonable cost
  • Prepares meals according to individuals' diet requirements (includes soup, main plate and dessert)
  • Delivers meals through volunteers who provide regular social contact and check on the health and safety of the client
Hours of Operation
Office Mon-Thu 8 am-4 pm
Eligibility
  • Individuals unable to prepare adequate and nourishing meals on a day-to-day basis, nor have anyone else in the household able to do so
  • Must be able to feed themselves, manage on weekends and be home to receive meal or identify neighbour who will accept it on their behalf


Age Requirements: Ages: 18 year(s) and up;

  • Referrals can be done by anyone (relative, friend, the prospective client, social worker, nurse, doctor)
  • Processed on a priority basis
  • Occasional waiting list
