Description
  • Provides individuals with an intellectual and/or developmental disability the opportunity to live and share in the activities of a family home
  • Recruits and screens families to act as host families that provide a safe and secure place to live
  • Maintains ongoing contact with individuals once they have been placed in a home and assists with daily living activities such as banking
  • Assists with educational pursuits that may include post-secondary studies, Smart Serve courses or obtaining a driver's license
  • Provides home visits, case management, and supervision

All host families undergo a thorough screening process that includes a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

Individuals with an intellectual and/or developmental disability who would benefit from living in a family setting
