Description
  • Provides community-based psychiatric consultation services to individuals living with an age-related mental health illness
  • Partners with the North Bay Regional Health Centre using a client-centered approach to assist individuals and their caregivers to enjoy a quality life
  • Offers a consultation service where a senior is first assessed to determine their needs and a consultation report is completed and forwarded to the referring family doctor or nurse practitioner

Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Eligibility
Individuals experiencing an age-related mental illness
Individuals younger than 65 also eligible if they meet one or more of following criteria:
  • Mental health problems complicated by age-related medical illness/functional needs
  • Behavioural problems associated with dementia and/or other severe mental illness
  • Must be medically stable (ie not in a medical crisis)
  • Must reside in the community (living at home, supportive housing or in a facility based environment such as a long term or chronic care)
