Description
  • Advocates and supports individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system who experience one or more of a serious and persistent mental illness
  • Links individuals to appropriate community services to ensure proper treatment
  • Consults with court personnel and/or Judiciary on matters relating to mental illness, addictions and or developmental challenges, and disposition
  • Works with correction and local service providers to facilitate discharge planning for inmates returning to the community

Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Eligibility
Individuals involved in the criminal justice system who experience one or more of a serious and persistent mental illness, pervasive developmental delay, and pervasive addiction issue

Age Requirements: Ages: 16 year(s) and up;
Application Process
  • Accepts referrals from the Court, Crown Attorney, Defence/Duty Counsel, Probation Officer, community service providers, and self referrals
  • Referrals can be made at any time during legal process
